Will most likely be converted to scraps later because it's crap, I'm too lazy to put it there now, and I'm curious to see what some of you may say to this ('cause really, who looks at scraps anyway? ). I'm so sorry for subjecting my watchers to so much Audrey II fanart as of late, but loads of ideas involving that plant have been popping into my head ever since I saw LSoH and it's helped me get out of a creative slump I've been in lately. (Yeah, I'm afraid that there's still more to come.) I hope you don't mind.
Okay, so yesterday when I was on YouTube, I chose to look up the song "Step Into Christmas", and in the related/recommended for you videos on the side I saw something for one of the stage versions of Little Shop of Horrors (sorry, can't find the video now). When I first saw it, I thought it was another Elton John music video or part of a live concert because that's pretty much what all of the others were for and the picture for it made the guy playing Seymour Krelborn look kinda like a young Elton. Of course I was wrong, but then I remembered that Elton is rather enthusiastic about plants, so then this happened.
I tried to draw Elton and his lyricist Bernie Taupin in my own sort of chibi style again, but...oh my god, they look horrid. I can at least sort of excuse Bernie since I haven't drawn him before, but...Ugh what is up with their shirts and why does Elton's outfit remind me of Steve from Blue's Clues whyyy???
Elton John and Bernie Taupin belong to themselves. Audrey II belongs to Warner Bros., Howard Ashman, Roger Corman, Alan Menken, Frank Oz, etc. I'm going to go hide in embarrassment now.
Aww, thank you. Elton: Bernie! Look at my new plant! Bernie: What the- What is that?! Elton: It's called an Audrey II. One of my American friends gave it to me. Apparently it's a new, popular thing over there. Isn't that cool? Bernie: Well, I think it's creepy. Elton: I think it's cute! Bernie: I...Reg, you've got to get rid of that thing. Elton: Why?! Bernie: I...I dunno, it just creeps me out! Elton: More than my cacti collection? Bernie: Yes, more than your cacti collection. Much more. Get rid of it. Now. Elton: No. I'm going to keep it and raise it and love it and you can't stop me. Bernie: Ugh...I have a bad feeling about this...
But- but they can't be! He'd probably stop when Twoey gets so big that he has to feed someone/something to it in order to have it keep living. Elton: Um...Bernie? I have a problem. Bernie: What is it this time? Did you lose a pair of your glasses again? Elton: No, it's a bit bigger than that...Do you remember that plant that I got a while back? Bernie: Which one? Elton: You know, the one that creeped you out. Bernie: Oh yeah, that one...the, um, Audrey Two, was it? Elton: Yeah. Uh...I found out what it needs to grow. Bernie: Really? What is it? Elton: Er...You know how I've been getting blisters on my fingers lately? Bernie: You told me that was from playing the piano too hard. Elton: Well...that's sort of true to an extent. You see, that's how I first found out what it needed to live, but after that... Bernie: ...Oh no...Reg, tell me you don't mean- Elton: Yes. Bernie: Oh my- I knew that there was a reason that thing creeped me out! Elton: Yeah, but that's not even the weirdest thing about it. Bernie: Really? What, does it talk, too? Twoey: Oh, I can do way more than that, Bernie boy! Bernie:
i love this.
